Halloween Activities
We had skeletons, witches, zombies and lots more in St Brigid’s today as all children dressed up for our Halloween festivities.
Our final day of school before mid-term was a busy one. The School Council organised a Halloween party for everyone with apple bobbing, face painting, nail painting, a spooky home corner, Halloween themed games and a tuck shop.
‘Friends of St.Brigid’s’ organised a very successful Pumpkin carving competition, with entries being brought to school today. The entries were extremely creative, far excelling expectations. It was a pity we had to send home the entries again as everyone would have enjoyed admiring them for another while. It was a very difficult task to pick a winner as every one was as good as the next.
The judging was completed by the School Council but everyone received a treat for entering.
Thank you so much to the parents and the children for entering our first ever Pumpkin competition and to Vivo, Plumbridge for donating the apples for the apple bobbing.
Winners-
Scariest pumpkin- Joe Flanagan
Funniest pumpkin- Ryan McBride
Best traditional pumpkin- Conor Doherty
